You watch the people feed tons and tons of grain to the animals, then they kill the animals and eat the animals. Why don’t they just eat the grain and let the animals live? It don’t make sense. Why are they eating the animals? They eat flesh and blood, then they go to church and talk about ‘thou shalt not kill.’ And they kill every day with every breath they take.
Your body is a divine temple, requiring nourishment from the Earth. Make a radical change and harmonize this temple. Feed your skeleton, flesh and internal organs with pure foods. This will help to clear your mind, to help you learn, and to help you grow. Your experiences will awaken awareness and your creative pursuits will flourish. As often as possible. Cooked foods, and actually solid foods in general, always take a toll on my body in a negative fashion. I recommend incorporating raw foods in to your diet slowly, or vegan foods into your diet slowly. And enjoy every moment of it. It’s a journey and a learning experience, you’ll begin to know your body more and your body’s desires. So listen carefully to it. Juices! They are full of nutrients and much sweeter to your digestive tract. Play around with various vegetables and fruits. Make your own spinach wraps if you’d like a sandwich once in a while, cut out those awful processed foods, read ingredient labels, at home cooking is your friend. Sincerely, just go at your own pace and experiment. You don’t have to completely transform over night if you find you are having trouble. Just listen to your body, that’s all. Chew your food until it’s completely chewed, eat gently, and eat when it’s necessary (you’ll know). Fruits, veggies, legumes.. there’s so much versatility, just go for it. There’s recipes for dressings, pastas (zucchini mmm), nama shoyu, sushi, wraps, soups, crackers, snacks, beverages, pizza, etc. All raw, all delicious, all up to you. So experiment, have fun and listen to your body!
The greatest value of the raw food diet is its transformative value. To a great extent, when you take up the raw food diet, you become a new and different and better person. You don’t just stay the old person, only a little healthier. You become, to a great extent, a new being with new interests, a new philosophy and outlook on life, new goals and desires. You become more of your essence, your true and natural self. You become a person who is more a part of the one great life of Nature and less of the confused human world. You become less “of the world” and more “of the Earth.
